Phi Hô. School of Fine Arts of Indochina. Usual medical instruments: medicine plane, wheel crusher, medicine chopper, copper mortar, medicine scale. Set of eight watercolours on paper in three signed frames, captioned in Vietnamese and French, some with inventory numbers. Dimensions with frame: 39x85.5 cm and 40x60 cm. (Some small pricking).

Provenance: Albert Sallet fonds (1877-1948). Military doctor in Indochina. Co-founder in 1913 of the Association des amis du Vieux Hué with Léopold Cadière, of the Foreign Missions of Paris. Corresponding member of the École française d'Extrême-Orient. After leaving the Army, he became Curator of the Cham Art Museum in Tourane until 1931, then Curator of the Georges-Labit Museum in Toulouse.
