Phi Hô. School of Fine Arts of Indochina. Three blues from Hué. Watercolor on paper signed lower right and captioned. A Cai Chen An-Com bowl. Underneath a Cai Chen Huong Ruou bucket. Covered vase Cai Hu Sanh. Two watercolors on paper in a frame. Size with frame: 40x60 cm. Size of each sheet: 23.5x17.5 cm (at sight). Reproduced in black and white in Albert Sallet's book "Officine sino-annamite en Annam - Le médecin annamite et la préparation des remèdes". Ed. Van Oest, 1931. Provenance: Albert Sallet fonds (1877-1948). Military doctor in Indochina. Co-founder in 1913 of the Association des amis du Vieux Hué with Léopold Cadière, of the Foreign Missions of Paris. Corresponding member of the École française d'Extrême-Orient. After leaving the Army, he became Curator of the Cham Art Museum in Tourane until 1931, then Curator of the Georges-Labit Museum in Toulouse.
