Small portable medicine chest made of exotic wood with two doors opening to reveal four drawers. Brass handle with stylized Greek motifs and brass angles. On base. Indochina, early 20th century. Complete with its padlock. Height: 22 cm. Width: 20,5 cm. Depth: 14.5 cm. (Accidents and misses). As is. Provenance: Albert Sallet fonds (1877-1948). Military doctor in Indochina. Co-founder in 1913 of the Association des amis du Vieux Hué with Léopold Cadière, from the Foreign Missions of Paris. Corresponding member of the École française d'Extrême-Orient. After leaving the Army, he became Curator of the Cham Art Museum in Tourane until 1931, then Curator of the Georges-Labit Museum in Toulouse.
