Nguyen Tri Minh (1924-2010). School of Applied Arts of Gia Dinh. 1942-1945 Grand Prix de Rome 1948. Scene in front of the large Lang Ong pagoda in Saigon. (Temple dedicated to the great Marshal Lê Van Duyet, Mandarin, Great Servant of H.M. Emperor Gia Long). Red-brown lacquer on a gold background on a black lacquered wooden tabletop. Signed lower left. Circa 1960. Works made in lacquer are extremely rare at Nguyen Tri Minh, an artist renowned for his oil painting. Museum piece. Size : 55x120 cm. Height of the table : 42 cm.
