ROZIER (François, Abbé).# Complete course in theoretical, practical, economic agriculture, and rural and veterinary medicine; followed by a method to study agriculture by principles or universal dictionary of agriculture; by a Society of Farmers, and written by M. l'abbé Rozier . Paris, Rue et Hôtel Serpente [and Librairie d'éducation des sciences et des arts for volume IX and Marchand, Drevet, Crapart, Caille et Ravier, Fantin for volumes XI and XII], 1783-1796 [1800 for volume IX and 1805 for volumes XI and XII]. 12 volumes in-4 (including the last 2 volumes of supplement), marbled brown calf, spines with ornate ribs, title and tomaison (contemporary binding). An allegorical frontispiece by Tardieu with the bust of Rozier linked to volume X, 12 title vignettes, 9 folding pictures, 269 off-text plates (21+27+20+11+31+24+22+40+18+30+15+10) of which 3 bis, some folding. Some plates are printed on blue paper. Partly original edition. The last two volumes of the supplement were written by a collective of 15 authors and published after the death of Abbé Rozier. Volume X, for its part, is almost entirely devoted to the vine and wine. Worn caps and corners, a few epidermides, freckles in some places, some brown leaves, if not a very good copy, very complete, for this work which was for a long time a reference in the field of agriculture.
