Laboratory trebuchet balance. Oak interior with 5 glass panes and two doors on the sides. The apparatus is provided with an adjustment system allowing to adjust a few milligrams with rings (some rings are missing). The base (composed of a black plate) has a sighting system composed of a lens and a light (the plug is missing) allowing to visualize precisely the desired balance. The system bears the mention (in Portuguese) "1 divisao = 0,1mg The metal and chrome-plated metal trebuchet bears the DRÄGER mark and the range of 200g. A set of weights is attached, consisting of 9 brass weights (from 100g to 1g), a dozen small weights (5mg, 10mg, 100 mg, 50 mg, ...) and a pliers marked prolabo. The whole is in a wooden box marked BAW. Work for Portugal or Brazil in the 40s and 50s. (Missing 4 rings of adjustment as well as the grip). Height : 44,5 cm. Length : 36,5 cm. Depth : 27,5 cm. Dräger or Drägerwerk is a German company founded in 1889 by Heinrich Dräger specialized in diving instruments (helmet, rebreather) and medical or chemical instruments.
