Exceptional and important lot of color printed maps taken from the Carte de l'Indochine and reproducing in kilometer grids most of the Central and North Vietnamese regions. Drawn and published between 1949 and 1950 by the Indochina Geographical Department, based on surveys from 1902 to 1933, supplemented by corrections made from aerial views between 1940 and 1948, and published at 1:100,000 scale.
The lot includes the localities of Phu-Nho-Quan (East-West), Pak-Hin-Boun (East-West), Hai Phong (East-West), Vang-Vieng (East-West), Ninh-Binh (East-West), Paksane (East-West), Nam-Dinh (East-West), Dinh-Lap (East-West), Bai-Thuong (East-West), Ban-Sot (East-West), Lang-Son (East-West), Luc-An-Chou (East-West), Bac-Kan (East-West), Keng-kabao, Thakhek, Savannakhet, Ha-giang (East), Ban-Toung (East) and Muong-May (East).
