- An important pebble-shaped amber snuffbox, the stopper formed by a branch of red coral surrounded by gilded lacquer.
China, Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century.
Height: 7.5 cm.
(Some cracks).
- Agate snuffbox on a chased silver mount decorated with a blooming flower and a snake coiled around a branch, the whole surrounded by a frieze of Greciques, the stopper decorated with a red coral cabochon set on a silver mount.
China, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912).
