ECOLE DES ARTS APPLIQUES DE BIEN HOA. Rare and important bronze bust with brown patina featuring a Cambodian dancer on a wooden base richly carved with partially openwork clouds. The costume and headdress are richly carved with floral and geometric motifs, the bust adorned with a diamond-shaped breastplate. Probably an apsara representation of one of the dancers in the royal Cambodian troupe. Indochina, circa 1920-1930. Height: 80 cm. Height with base: 95 cm. (Excellent condition, superb patina).
