1925. Very rare collection of two propaganda posters including: - A poster in red ink from the Journal Illustré dated August 12, 1925, published in Canton by the Workers' Committee of the General Workers' Union of China. The central scene depicts a revolutionary soldier's boot striking a militarist, accompanied by texts that can be translated as: "Let's support the National Government's foreign policy", "Let's get rid of the imperialist hounds", "Down with the warlords/militarists". - A poster in black ink from the Journal Illustré dated August 14, 1925, published in Canton by the Workers' Committee of the General Workers' Union of China. Propaganda document against the "imperialists" [England, America, France, Japan, Italy, Portugal] pictured paying their respects to a revolutionary soldier to whom they say the following: "We respect you very much, but we hope that we will help the workers and laborers to fight us". Dimensions: 39.5x54.5 cm and 38x55 cm. (Some stains and tears).
