Torso of male divinity in beige sandstone. The divinity wears a high, bejeweled tiara, several pearl necklaces and a high torque bracelet below the shoulder. The hair falls in cascading curls over the left shoulder. Accessories and facial treatment typical of the medieval period in central India, the tiara unfortunately does not allow us to identify the deity. India, circa 10th century. Height: 43.5 cm. (Restorations, accidents and missing parts).
