Round enameled porcelain dish of the Green Family type. The mainly iron-red polychrome decoration features a central scene from the Three Kingdoms, where general Lu Bu and the beautiful Diao Chan, conversing in a garden, are interrupted by the arrival of Dong Zhuo (holding his beard) through a round door, the rim decorated with a frieze of auspicious Taoist objects (ruyi scepter, book, painting, qin, etc.) in cartouches on a diamond background, a double blue circle at the base. China, 19th century. Diameter: 39.3 cm. (Two cracks on the rim, with a small chip restored).
