Black lacquered wood writing desk with burgoté mother-of-pearl inlay decoration. The central part is finely decorated with a lakeside landscape in a frame surrounded by phoenixes and floral scrolls. The leather-lined interior features several compartments. The sides feature brass handles and a drawer that closes from the inside. The writing case locks on the front. China, late 19th-early 20th century. Height: 10 cm. Length: 40 cm. Width: 24.5 cm. (Slightly missing mother-of-pearl and lacquer).
