Reunion of two inkblocks with molded and gilded decoration in a lacquered wooden box. The first of polylobed form, decorated with Greek friezes in stylized ruyi, the central part featuring two four-clawed dragons chasing the sacred pearl. The reverse is decorated with symbols in clouds. The second is round, the obverse depicting a mountain emerging from tumultuous waves, the reverse decorated with four sigillary characters. China, Qing dynasty (1644-1912). Diameter: 7 cm. (Minor accidents around the edges).
