Utagawa Kokunimasa (1874-1944) and Adachi Ginko (active 1870-1908). Two ôban tate-e framed print triptychs, one depicting Minamoto no Yoritomo and his companions in hiding at the end of the Battle of Ishibashiyama, signed Kokunimasa and seal on the right board, dated Meiji 29 (1896), the other The battle at Jinzhou cheng (Kinshujo gekisen), an episode in the first Sino-Japanese war (1894-95), signed Ginko and the artist's seal on the left, dated Meiji 28 (1895). 70 x 35.5 cm on view.
