Gu" shaped vase in cloisonné enamel with archaistic decoration. The rims are adorned with crenellated ormolu borders, and the foot and neck are flared. The body is swollen in the middle, the background turquoise-blue enamel with lotus and polychrome foliage. Inside, an incense holder. Old collector's label in Italian "Fatto per ordine dell'Imperatore King t'ai" or "Fait sur ordre de l'Empereur Jingtai".
Apocryphal Jingtai mark with four incised characters under the base.
China, 17th century.
