Porcelain plate decorated with a scholar contemplating the cliffside landscape on the edge of a lake, animated by eight ducks, two of which are in flight preparing to land. The scene is accompanied by a calligraphic poem at top left. Four-character mark in blue underglaze "Kinh Sơn Phiến Ngọc" under the base, literally "Jade piece from Jingshan Mountain". Old collector's label numbered 1525 on the back. China for Vietnam, first half of the 19th century. Diameter: 19 cm.
