Small teapot in gilded monochrome porcelain, with red enameled spike-shaped handle. Chenghua six-character mark in blue underglaze on the base. China, Qing dynasty (1644-1912), late 18th-19th century. Height: 15 cm. (cracks and tiny chips inside the lid, chips, wear). For a similarly glazed example, see the spirit pot kept at the Musée Cernuschi under inventory number M.C. 2520.
