Inro in fundame gold lacquer with four compartments decorated with takamaki-e pavilions in a lacustrian landscape bordered by high mountains enhanced with kirigane gold mosaics. The cord is complete with an ebony netsuke featuring a monkey on a canvas bag. Japan, Edo period (1603-1868), 18th century. Height: 8.5 cm. (Wear, broken cord).
