Important lot of 259 postcards on Hué including various views of the city and its surroundings, numerous shots of the imperial court of Annam including the vice king, mandarins, musicians, imperial guards and horsemen, views of the interior and exterior palace including the throne room, the vestibule of honor and its dragon door leading to the emperor's private apartments, scenes of court funerals including that of the queen mother, royal elephants and miscellaneous.
Several publishers, including Dieulefils, Planté, Renez Tetart and Guérin, the vast majority in black and white from the early 20th century, most circulated with stamps. Some sets are complete.
(Good condition, some wear and a few stains).
