Reproduced in the artist's color biography. Provenance: Acquired directly from the artist's son. Trinh Huu Ngoc is mainly associated with colorful landscapes and a "Zen" atmosphere. Nevertheless, he is a complete artist, illustrator and decorator who initiated a veritable revival of the art of lacquerware. This portrait, with its intense psychological expressiveness, reveals once again his great mastery of drawing.
