A pupil of Tran Van Can, Luong Xuan Nghi, who is recognized for his keen sense of composition inherited from his teaching at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, used to criss-cross the countryside, painting landscapes that were often animated to capture real popular scenes.
Provenance: Collection of Mrs. X, who since the 1970s has been committed to promoting Vietnamese culture and has actively supported Vietnamese artists.
