NGUYEN SON (XXth). Fishermen's village. Framed polychrome and gold lacquered wood panel, signed lower right. Stylistically similar to a triptych made by the same artist at the same time, which was used to decorate the furniture of the Hôtel du Commandant Supérieur des troupes françaises en Cochinchine, which became the French Embassy in South Vietnam in 1954 and remained until 1975, this lacquer panel evokes a village probably located in North Vietnam. Indochina, circa 1940-1945. Dimensions: 60.5x48 cm.
