Pair of rectangular panels in exotic wood, one finely carved in relief with a central medallion depicting a dragon in the clouds flying over a deer, the central reserve surrounded by a landscape of pines, weeping willows, bamboos and rocks populated by a rich bestiary of horses, hounds, squirrels and egrets. The border is decorated with poly-lobed reserves on a pavement of swastikas. The second is centrally decorated with a tiger and a dragon surrounded by the four sacred animals. Indochina, 19th century. Dimensions: 38.8x60.5 cm.
