Large exotic wood panel richly decorated with mother-of-pear - Lot 322
Large exotic wood panel richly decorated with mother-of-pearl inlays. The central part features a medallion depicting Fu Xing, divinity of happiness, flanked by two maids presenting bouquets of flowers. The left and right sections are formed by two quadrangular reserves depicting a figure holding a kiem (right sword). The background is richly decorated with clouds, decorated on the upper part with two confronted dragons chasing the sacred pearl and on the lower part with two qilin. Indochina, Tonkin work, late 19th century. Height: 47 cm. Length: 89 cm.
