Ironwood statue of an immortal on a sculpted, openwork base. The reclining figure holds a basket of foodstuffs, from which peaches of longevity escape. Indochina, Vietnam, early 20th century. Height: 21 cm. Length: 36 cm. (Cracks). - Bronze gong bell with relief decoration of an Annam dragon in front and its carved and openwork exotic wood support featuring a prunus trunk in blossom. Complete with wooden hammer. Indochina, early 20th century. Height: 32.5 cm. Length: 29 cm. Width: 10 cm. (Wear). Provenance: Georges Jacquolot, working for the Indochina customs service. In the family by descent.
