Large copper alloy mirror with molded and chased decoration of cranes and tortures near a lacquer under a foliage of pines, prunus and bamboos. The left-hand side is embellished with calligraphic text in relief, the handle formerly lined with wicker, the whole resting in its original black lacquer case.
Japan, first half of the 20th century.

(Minor chips and wear to the case, wicker missing from the mirror's handle).
