Pierre de CLAUSADE (1910-1976). Northern Beaches in Stormy Weather. Oil on canvas, signed lower left. Dimensions: 45x80 cm. Having begun painting in 1941, De Clausade quickly achieved Parisian success at the Société des Beaux-Arts and the Salon d'hiver. The painter was also well received on the other side of the Atlantic, and exhibited during his lifetime in Rio, Boston and New York.
