Camille Roche was an artist who regularly participated in the major art salons of the first half of the 20th century, such as the Salon d’Automne and the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs. His work, inspired by nature and the animal kingdom, is marked by Far Eastern influences. He also created interior designs for prominent figures such as Colette, for whom he produced large frescoes of Eastern inspiration, and Coco Chanel. Among his most notable commissions was the decoration of Villa Le Roc in Juan-les-Pins, owned by Lady and Lord Cholmondeley, Chamberlain to the Queen of England.
