A 1.5% (excluding taxes) will be added for participants of the Drouot Live Auction.
Pre-auction viewings by appointment for professionals, as well as additional photos sent upon request, will allow potential buyers to see the condition of the lots; no complaints will be accepted once the auction has been announced. ABSENTEE BIDS
The bidders who cannot be present at the sale must complete the absentee bidding form that is included in the catalogue. Absentee bidders must contact us 48 hours before the sale with their bank details. Absentee bidding forms and phone bids are a service facilitated to our customers; LYNDA TROUVE nor its employees are not responsible for any errors or failure to execute the order received.
BIDS
Double-bidding auction: In the case of a double-bidding auction recognised by the authorised auctioneer, the property will be put back on sale and all interested buyers present will be able to participate in this second auction.
Right of pre-emption: the French government has a right of pre-emption on certain objects (works of art, archives, etc.). This right can be exercised during the sale and must be confirmed within the 15 days following the date of the sale concerned. The timely confirmation of this right entails a subrogation by the French government to the successful tenderer.
Any changes in the conditions of sale or in the description of the lots in the catalogue will be announced verbally during the sale and noted in the written minutes of the auction.
JEWELLERY
No complaints will be accepted for customary restorations and minor damages, as the public exhibition allows the examination of the works. Precious and semi-precious stones may have been the subject of treatments intended to enhance them. Example: oiling of emeralds, heat treatment of rubies and sapphires, bleaching of pearls, etc. These treatments are traditional and widely accepted in the international jewellery market. Due to the upsurge in new treatments, the stones presented without a certificate are not sold under warranty regarding an eventual treatment. It is specified that the origin of the stones and the quality (colour and purity of the diamonds) reflect the opinion of the laboratory that issues the certificate. No complaints will be accepted if another laboratory gives a different opinion and neither the auction house company nor the expert can be held responsible. Regarding watches: restorations, modifications, technical characteristics, serial numbers, dimensions and weights are notified to the extent of our means. They are given only as an indication to facilitate the inspection of the potential purchaser and remain subject to their personal appreciation. The responsibility of the auctioneer or the expert cannot be called into question in the event of omissions that may remain despite the precautions taken. A missing indication does not mean that a watch has no defects. We do not give any warranty that a watch or bracelet is in good working order. Revisions, adjustments, and waterproofing are the bidders' responsibilities. No complaints will be accepted once the lot has been awarded. Regarding precious metals: it is understood that the abbreviations for 18k gold corresponds to 750 thousandths, 14k corresponds to 585 thousandths, and 9k corresponds to 375 thousandths; concerning platinum, corresponds to 850 thousandths; and concerning silver, corresponds to 800 thousandths.
